As a disclaimer, this information is simply what I have observed while experimenting with DTA/DTH, and I am open to correction if neccessary.ĮDIT: DTA/DTH based on further investigation does not affect the direct damage of skills. Hopefully this clears up at least some of the mystery surrounding DTA/DTH. Imagine all the buffs on your build are active, (I.E Berserk/Spark/Spotter) then multiplied by another percentage of DTA/DTH the second you hit your mark. This places DTA/DTH in an " all-sources damage" category ( similarly, but not identically) like the Opportunistic Glove Talent, or even Damage to Targets Out of Cover found on LMGs, but still different because DTA/DTH will apply to these buffs as well. WD, where damage is applied directly to the base dmg of your weapon (not including buffs). Because the damage coming from DTA is calculated when damage connects with the target, vs. This is why DTA is widely considered "better". I'm trying to explain it in an extended way for clarity. If you hit a Headshot, and it lands as a Crit, that number will be multiplied by the 10% DTA on your build. When I say DTA/DTH is the final calculation, I mean its being applied on top of all other buffs the second that damage is dealt to your target.įor example if you have a ChC build with 10% DTA, then your bullets are dealing your base damage( x 10% dmg against armor), and your crits ( x 10% dmg against armor) too. Depending on your build these may be desirable stat options if you plan on dealing damage in a variety of ways. It applies to explosives, status effects, weapons (including base WD, ChD and HSD), and almost anything thats applying damage to Armor or Health. It is the final calculation applied to whatever damage type you're dealing, specifically to, an enemy's armor and/or health. Which is why it isn't reflected in the UI under your Weapon's Damage.

This isn't specific to your weapons the way WD is. This buff is reflected under the UI where you look at your WD, and includes weapon specific damage.ĭTA/DTH will affect your Damage to Armor, and Health, respectively. Other variables (such as ChD, HSD) use your weapon damage along with talent buffs to calculate the final damage number with your weapons.

These stats typically roll in higher amounts than DTA/DTH. Weapon Damage will increase the base damage of your primary/secondary/sidearm.
